If you have never been to Israel before, or if you have been there many times…
If you are interested in the ancient wonders of Israel or the modern miracle of the ‘start-up nation…
If you are seeking new opportunities to connect with other progressive women…
If you are hoping to have an adventure of a lifetime…
We have an opportunity just for you!
WRJ, the women's affiliate of the Reform Jewish Movement, is a powerful network of engaged women.
Our Israel travel program is for women who want to experience Israel with other like-minded women
and who want to connect with the larger network of progressive Jewish women in Israel and North America.
There are four upcoming programs from which to choose. Each trip includes the extraordinary
opportunity to join Women of the Wall at the Kotel (Western Wall) for their monthly Rosh Hodesh service celebrating
the first day of the Hebrew month and is a traditional women's holiday.
If you are interested in current affairs and gender issues in Israel, consider the trip scheduled for
February-March 2019, during which we will join others in celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Women of the Wall.
If you are interested in exploring art and culture in Israel, are a ‘foodie', and enjoy the R & R of a spa, consider the
February 2020 trip. If you are a first-timer or have not been to Israel for a while and want to explore Israel anew with
other women, consider the October 2019 trip, with excursions to the south of Israel, or the May 2020 trip, with
excursions in the north of Israel.
We are most grateful for the generosity of WRJ Board member Joanne B. Fried, whose substantial
underwriting has allowed us to offer these programs at a significantly reduced cost.
She believes, as we do, that as many women as possible should have this opportunity to
participate in A Women's Journey to Israel. We hope you will join us!
